I'm seeing similar results--I just ran benchmarks using 1.8.7 (REE) and 1.9.1, and 1.9.1 was over 50% *slower*. Running in production mode in both cases, using these ab settings:
ab -kc 10 -t 30 http://localhost:8080/foo

Not at all what I expected--I was hoping for this 2x improvement I keep reading about.

I'm hoping that Rails or Ruby or both need some kind of tuning or optimization for 1.9.1; if anyone has any ideas about that, I'd love to hear them.

Check the line 5 of the code sample above.

                    :keep_old_files => :version_condition_met?

Hey Pierre-Alexandre,

thanks for your reply!

I want to buy a Qwerty keyboard for my laptop since a while but never get a chance of doing it. I love the idea of remapping the CAPS LOCK key as my Escape key is pretty small and I end up pressing F1/²/1 all together. I just remapped it, I look forward getting used to it!

Cheers

Hi i'm started to try vim some months ago
And because AZERTY keybord is really bad for vim i stop use it !
Specially i don't like the **** ecape key toooo far for my finger.
But i finally find really good option for fix the probleme.

So this question come from this bog:

http://www.terminally-incoherent.com/blog/2007/08/02/remapping-the-caps-lock-key/

Here is a question: when was the last time you used the Caps Lock key on purpose?

So actually i try to remap my keyboard for rails!
Let's see the result on apéroRuby-3

----

see you
